Challenge(s)
The only available references were images of an automotive fragrance dispenser with electronic lighting—not a beverage container. Additionally, the can needed to be single-use, liquid-safe, and cost-effective, making the integration of electronics particularly challenging. To redesign a non-beverage, electronically illuminated product concept into a functional, single-use soft drink can, while safely integrating lighting and electronics without significantly increasing production cost.

Deliverie(s)
ANDYSIS adopted a research-driven and experimental approach. Since the reference product was unavailable locally, the original fragrance dispenser was sourced from abroad for physical study. Based on this, a new can design was developed from scratch. After extensive brainstorming, a safe and economical method was devised to integrate a light source and battery system that could activate during use while remaining protected from liquid contact. The Process Followed: 1. Study of reference images and concept feasibility analysis. 2. Procurement of the original fragrance dispenser for physical evaluation. 3. Conceptual redesign to transform the form into a soft drink can. 4. Brainstorming sessions to integrate electronics in a single-use product. 5. Design of a liquid-safe enclosure for the bulb and battery. 6. Cost optimization to keep the product commercially viable. A unique soft drink can design with integrated lighting was successfully developed. The final concept balanced visual impact, functional safety, and cost constraints, proving the feasibility of combining electronics with disposable beverage packaging.
