Ergonomic Dual-Conveyor System for Bottle Packing
The client needed a conveyor system to assist workers in packing bottles but was unsure how to organize material flow efficiently. In the existing setup, workers had to move frequently to collect bottles and wrappers, leading to fatigue, reduced productivity, and inefficient packing operations.

Challenge(s)
To design an efficient and ergonomic packing system that delivers both bottles and wrappers directly to seated workers, minimizing movement and improving packing speed and comfort.

Deliverie(s)
ANDYSIS designed a dual-conveyor system with two independently driven conveyors positioned at different heights. One conveyor was placed at lap height to carry bottles, while the second conveyor was positioned near head height to supply wrapping material. This arrangement allowed workers to pack bottles while remaining seated, improving workflow efficiency and operator comfort. The Step Followed: 1. Study of the client’s packing workflow and worker movement. 2. Identification of ergonomic and productivity bottlenecks. 3. Concept development for a dual-conveyor material flow system. 4. Design of upper and lower driven conveyors with appropriate heights. 5. Layout planning to ensure safe and efficient worker interaction. A highly efficient bottle-packing system was successfully developed, enabling workers to pack bottles without leaving their seats. The solution reduced operator fatigue, improved packing speed, and created a smoother and more organized production flow.
